Hello friends. Welcome strangers. This is my photoblog. My name is Alfred Megally and I’m a fresh graduate taking time off for travel and exploration. Currently, I’m living in the heart of the lively Mexico City.

I work part-time as freelance web designer (clearwaydesign.com) and spend the rest of my time pursuing what happens to catch my interest. Expect some interesting projects in the near future.

I plan on using this blog as a way of developing my photography and producing creative output regularly. I'll try to post something thoughtful on a weekly basis so subscribe and follow along. I welcome your comments and constructive feedback on any of the entries.


Photography Background


Basically not much - but that makes it all the more fun. I bought my first SLR about 2 years ago (Pentax *ist D) and I discovered how much I enjoy capturing moments.

Currently, I'm using a Nikon D90 the 18-200VR and the 50mm 1.8.

  • While there is part of me that thinks some might find a slightly tongue-in-cheek series on the swine flu produced at the epicenter a bit in poor taste, I find myself smiling at your series. The look on the other guy's face in this photo is priceless. (How have the space helmet and gloves been received when doing these photos?)

  • I’d say it was really well received. We had conversations with many people and everyone we passed seemed to enjoy a good laugh. Mexico City in general is notably welcoming to the arts.
